Education and Training Survey 2024

The Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia (RANS) is conducting the following survey for restaurant Owner/Operators to help determine the needs of the food & beverage industry in regards to education and training opportunities for both owners and employees. 

This survey, which was developed in partnership with the RANS Education and HR committee, will provide an understanding of where restaurant owners are currently accessing their Education and HR needs, their current level of training (both for themselves and employees), and their future intentions for training opportunities.

Exit Survey 2022 Results

The Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia (RANS) was interested to gather data to help gain insight as to why employees have left the restaurant industry. With significant labour shortages occurring in our sector, this information has helped us to determine what employees value in the workplace and to provide recommendations for potential recruitment and retention solutions.

The Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia (RANS) is conducting a survey to help determine some of the impacts of the significant labour shortage the food and beverage industry is experiencing.

Tourism NS Voice of Visitors 2023

Tourism Nova Scotia and RANS partnered to survey visitors to Nova Scotia and their dining habits.

Tourism NS Culinary Survey 2019

Narrative Research assembled data on behalf of Tourism Nova Scotia from surveying over 1000 Nova Scotian visitors to get an idea of what and how they are eating.
